We sell physical objects and machine time. Most storefronts sell SKUs. Those are different products, and the difference is why this site exists.
A catalog product on this site is priced by the same engine that prices a customer upload on the print door. The price is computed from real geometry: weight, machine hours, setup, margin. A shop platform prices by hand-entered fields. The hand breaks.
WHAT THE OLD SITE PROVED
The previous Binary Division site was a brochure with a quote flow that ended in a review request. It proved the shape: upload a model, configure a material, ask for a price. It also proved the weakness: no computed price. Every quote went to a human inbox and came back as a message.
The instant-quote module exists because that flow did. This storefront exists because the quote needs a place to live.
WHAT WE BUILT INSTEAD
- A catalog whose prices come from the pricing engine, not a spreadsheet.
- A print door that reads a mesh and returns a tri-state verdict: instant, estimate, or manual review.
- Order tracking with real states: confirmed, printing, packed, shipped.
- Payment that matches the market: cash on delivery first, bKash next.
- An admin system that treats products, pricing, printers and jobs as one factory, not five tabs.
Every number on the site is a number the factory actually uses: ৳5 per gram flat, ৳35 per machine hour, a ৳150 minimum job, 25% margin. This blog will quote those numbers openly, because the factory has nothing to hide.
THE TRADE-OFF
Building the storefront cost engineering time that a hosted shop would have saved. It buys one thing: the storefront and the factory are the same system. When the slicer worker lands, catalog prices and print quotes will come from the same slice. No syncing, no drift, no price that lives in two places.
